My 1998 Polaris scrambler 400 idles perfect but when I go to rev it it just sounds like it's bouncing off a rev limiter please HELP

I feel like atvs are the step child of the sport these days with sxs dominating sales now.

So I'm curious why you all have atvs instead of sxs?

Is it because of money?

Is it because you like the feeling of driving vs riding?

Is it because of the freedom?

Easier to transport?

What other reasons?

I am new to the forum and was looking for resources. I just purchased a 97 polaris xplorer 300 4x4. It needs a little work but runs fairly well. There are some things that need replacing and was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a good parts list for the entire bike. I did purchase a Haynes manual but the one I purchased didn't have a parts list! Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I am new to the site. I ride a 2015 Outlander L 500 MAX DPS. I have owned it since brand new and beat it up a little but has never let me down. I totally trust it to take me into the wilderness of Alaska. It goes hunting fishing and just plain off roading. I am looking to do some upgrades and repairs to this thing and make it last longer. If anyone has recommendations of websites to check out or ideas to make this thing better please feel free to put in your input. I also plow snow with this thing all winter.

Hey gents, curious if anyone has dialed back their springs to try and soften the suspension. Anyone mess around with that to try to get a softer ride?

It appears like I “may” have water in the oil on a new to me 700. I’m going to service the quad by changing all of the fluids, cleaning the carb etc. first and do a compression check because it does appear to have a bit more crankcase pressure than I’d expect.

Are these engines more prone to have a water seal or a head gasket to cause water to enter the crankcase?

In addition, I need to replace the CV Boots. Which brand and place do you recommend I source them from?

I’m sure I’ll have a ton more questions as I dig into the quad doing my maintenance on it.

So I am running into an issue with trying to upgrade the shocks on my 2015 800 XMR. I called the local shop to see what options they had, was met with we'll research and get back to you. I tried Elka, but they have no product testing on my specific model.

I am trying to figure out if the 2016 850 XMR shocks will work on my bike, as Elka does sell Stage 3 for that model.

Also, looking to see what, if any, other options are out there. As you know, they stock shocks are garbage, any help will be appreciated.
