Joined the club

I've been lurking on several forums and finally decided the reliability of the grizzly did not replace all the power and ride features of a sportsman. I was in the right place at the right time and scooped up a 2015 Sportsman 1000 XP LE with 1100 miles for $4500. Itll need the fluids changed and 4 wheel bearings, and a crack on the rear plastic rack but no fender issue. Considering 850s were selling in the 7s around here I feel quite lucky. Looking forward to some wrenching and getting everything ready for riding this summer (NY).

HELP – Limp Home mode in Low Range Only

2010 Outlander 800r

Just got it, it's definitely lived a hard life..been working on a lot of small issues but I cannot get rid of the limp home mode error. It is only going into limp home when I put it in low range. So far, I've replaced all 4 gear selector switches on the trans, cleaned the speed sensor, and changed the oil in the trans.

Does anyone know which wire/selector switch sends the signal to the computer for low range so I can check the wiring?

Any other suggestions?

REverse LIght on

Hello I have a 2000 500 6x6 sportsman and the reverse light stays on when I shift in to low range and the rev limiter stays engaged hopefully some one here can help

2016 Sportsman 850 no electrical power

My friend has a 2016 Sportsman 850 with only 4 hours use and 200 kms on it, it is like new. It had the original battery in it and he did not have it on a maintainer. He recently tried to start it and it had no power at all to the cluster or anything else so he bought a new battery and installed it. All the connections are in place, fuses, breakers are good but still no power. I got him to check to see if there is any power to the ignition switch and there is none, the kill switch is on and switching it a bunch of times had no effect, the connections to the kill switch are clean and not at all corroded. The wiring diagram shows some fusible links, anyone know where they are located and if they could be the issue? Anything else we could check or other known issues that could cause this? I am hoping it is not the ECM.

New to the forums

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum and I just bought my first can-am it's a 18 Outlander xmr 1000r and I live in upstate ny. So far I love it I haven't had a chance to get it in the mud yet do to winter so I can't wait to see what it can do. I'm looking forward to all the great stories and information I can recieve and give on the forums now time to explore...

Terrible.. crank pushed through when trying to remove Primary Clutch…

2005 rotax 650 motor freshly rebuilt from crank being sent off and fixed to new connecting rod, everything. went to remove primary clutch with clutch puller, and instead of popping off it pushed crank a good quarter inch through the cases.... I immediately stopped and after my blood pressure boiled... found that maybe I can use crank case splitter on one side to push on crank, and crank puller on other to pull it back in line? Anyone ever had this happen. I know that best thing would be to tear it down but motor is in the chassis, and I do not want anything to do with rebuilding it again. I’m so frustrated with this thing. Any ideas how bad it’s meased up? Please be honest. Thanks
