2019 maverick sport

Hello everyone! I'm new to the can am world. Just traded my teryx for a 2019 Maverick Sport and I'm lovin it! Always looking for new places to ride! On a side note and long story, I have an extra top and mtx soundbar that are both in like new condition with a few scratches that I will give somebody a good deal on.

Sportsman won’t shift out of LOW – ONLY when plowing after pushing snow

I have a 2005 Sportsman 700 EFI and I have searched around and I can't find anyone else having this issue. I live in Wisconsin and have a Polaris plow with a front mount (not the belly mount). Been using it for years. Probably a year or two ago I noticed when I am pushing a large amount of snow up on a hill and there is back pressure on the plow blade, it is near impossible to shift out of low (to back up and do more plowing). I have to either get off and try to manhandle/wiggle the ATV using the rear bumper to relieve pressure from the front, try to delicately move forward a little more so I can "roll" back an inch or two to try and relieve pressure, ... But it happens somewhat consistently and usually results in many colorful words from me as I try to get the thing in reverse. I literally have to yank back as hard as I can on the shifter to get it out of low - I am doing it yanking with all my might so hard I wouldn't be surprised if the shifter (or the linkage) eventually snaps or I bend it.

Has anyone else experienced this? I dont think it is anything related to my transmission because it never happens in summer, or any other time for that matter when I am not plowing with a decent amount of back pressure pushing back again the plow.

96 sportsman 400 suspension question

Does anyone known what size nut is on top of the front strut on a 96 Sportsman 400. Having trouble getting the correct size to tighten up.I can only feel it and do not want to disassemble the fenders to gain better access.Just need to snug it up.

Hilifter or regular 1000

I live really remote off grid homestead rocky mountains and want an atv for a lot of things and honestly I have the disease of more so highlifter seems like the most you can get so Im leaning towards it even though im not going to be mud bogging the extra clearance and other features seem made for the mountain life but maybe not zero experience with atvs. so let me tell you what i want to do with it that i know of and tell me if im better off adding stuff to the regular xp or getting the highlifter.
first off im big 6-3" 220lbs and i dont baby equipment and i expect shit to last

I want to stop snowmobiling or keep it to a minimum its 9 miles of unplowed USFS road to my cabin some years my nearest neighbors 4 miles away will plow the first 5 miles so its always at least 4 miles all winter long and it begins and ends with mud season which is a mile of mud then come around a north switchback and four feet of snow for a few miles etc so planning on tracks

My land is mostly 45 degrees and 140 acres surrounded by national forest so i want to be able to get around my place and the surrounding forest whenever i want to hunt to get wood to feed animals or build shit i want to pull trailers and never get stuck my land and the forest are covered in old skid trails from logging some overgrown some just wet or rutted or steep or narrow etc just want to be unstoppable getting around the woods
but able to use it for ranching stuff or recreational stuff

i dont think any of this is really beyond the reach of most good atvs with good skills but I do want that extra im not young anymore and dont want to be getting stuck alot hate that on sleds.
So this hilifter seems to have insane tires like on my f350 winch and bumper etc
but i wonder about the derating - i take it its just geared lower so has more low end power like a diesel but a bit slower if thats all i would probably like that im not going 60mph either the mountain roads are not straight. I might drive across the creek but i doubt id do that when its more than a foot or two high that creeks seriously dangerous at spring runoff
the woods are thick lots of deadfalls rocks and of course deep snow so the little bit of clearance seems worth a little speed i dont see how the air intakes up top hurt anything
except they hurt the storage it seems but maybe i can weld up some sort of front rack that doesnt interfere they both have winches
I suppose i could put bigger tires on the reg xp and the reg looks like maybe it has better bumpers and does it come with front hitches? I dont mind paying a bit more just for the baddassness of that highlander truth be told i want it just because it like the king kong atv but i dont want to look back and realize id have been better served with the xp and bigger tires
thanks guys forgive my writing i know
