looking at a putting 33" BKTs on my xmr with either just cfab arms and wheels wells changed or 6" lift, Suoer atvs reviews are great on theirs but a dealer at an event this week said they don't hold up like highlifter and catvos, I can't justify an extra $2000 plus for one of those over super atv, any pics out there

Just picked up this sportsman, PO said it started being difficult to start so he assumed it lost compression and pulled engine and starting tearing it apart. Then realized he was in over his head and sold it to me for $450... The cylinder walls are scored as well as the side of the piston, safe to say get a new jug and piston kit? How does the rest of the engine look in pictures? It looks like the quad is in decent shape, brand new tires and wheels, new carb, and a non-torn seat.. my first ever quad so help is def appreciated

Howdy folks ! Proud to be a member as I am in the purchase of a 2006 Outlander 800 xt. I have wanted one since they came out , I purchased a new Grizzly 660 in 2005 and sold last year. A very trouble free machine btw ... So, I am having trouble finding some good concrete info on this machine. I want to know what the weak points are and what to look for. The speedo backlight lights but digits do not. I found a part # 710000919 for $325 new ... ouch ! Any alternatives ? How have these motors been holding up ? What years were changes made to chassis , motor etc. ? Worth while mods ? I take care of my equipment and I want it to be set up right. You get it ... loooking for the dirt on this thing ! Thanks to all for the help !

Just bought my wife a 2007 sportsman 500ho, it has 4200 miles on it.
The fuel gauge did not work when purchased, just flashed low fuel always.
I have pulled the fuel pump out, and the float is in need of replacement, I've got one on order.
But how do I get the old one off? I expected an e clip or something, not a squashed rod!

While the system is apart, what preventative stuff should I be doing? Foil insulation on tank bottom? New fuel pump just because?

If i have the rotor/hub assembly off the machine, laying upside down on a bench (as in, rotor is on top), and i drop the hillard inside the hub...how much play should there be between the hillard and inner hub?
