Hello. I have a 2018 Polaris Sportsman 570. Bought it used and everything seems perfect on it except starting. Half the time I go to start it the engine attempts to turn over but doesn’t. If I try again it turns over and fires up nicely. Some times I have to try a couple times to start it and then it starts. Took it to the dealer and they couldn’t replicate the issue (figures). It is odd because sometimes it starts up on the first turn of the key and other times doesn’t. Anyone have any ideas that might help me troubleshoot it?

For years, before getting my 570, I owned snowmobiles. The last 10 years or so of ownership we got less and less snow in Indiana and had to resort to heading up to Michigan to enjoy the snow. I can't even remember all the towns we road in but most were in the lower, Gaylord, Indian River, Cadillac, are few that come to mind. How many(if any) of the public snowmobile trails are open in the summer to ride ATV's on? I thought those trails would be good to take the wife and kids on, just strolling through the woods and not having to navigate rocks, hills, mud, etc. Thought it would be nice to head up one weekend and just buzz around through the tree's etc.

Hi there folks! I ve got an ‘15 XXC with about 200hrs with some electrical issues which i am trying to solve.
I will describe the behaviour and you’ll decide if there are related with each others or not.

1. the headlights are not running in either ingnition position (the rear lights are fine, same the front center small light bulb). Also the hi beam indicator in the dash looks dead.

2. Winch not running, same the cigarette lighter socket.

3. And the most recent - check engine light on while running and simultaneously the 4wd cannot be operated BUT this ONLY in the 1st ignition position. If i turn the key to the last one, the ck engine light turns off and the 4wd can be operated flawlessly.

Another one problem recently discovered is the left handlebar controls- headlight beam switch, while i was trying to identify the p-code error, but nothing happens.

Any advice would be useful!

Pretty much gave up finding a good used quad locally and decided on a new 2019, maybe the hunting edition....maybe the rubicon or rancher.....srry yamaha, no camo no sale.

Then this happened....

Do you all think I could attach my winch to the bumper in the center after routing it through a snatch block so I could pull myself out of whatever i might be stuck in?

Today I went with some buddies riding an iced over small creek.

2 times we climbed up off the creek up steep inclines of about 2-3 feet, nearly straight up.

My machine (xmr 570) immediately started to blow white smoke from the exhaust once I made it to the top. It cleared up after about 10 seconds or so.

My girlfriend has a Outty 570 as well and hers did not smoke climbing the same banks.

Does anyone know what would cause this, and should I be concerned?
