Another tire question

Hey Everyone,

Can I put 25-10-12’s on the front and 25-12-12’s on the back? Will the affect any components? Or damage anything? Does anyone here have hat setup?

Just looking for your thoughts on it. Thanks

850 sportsman shuts off, electrically

I turn my key to start my Polaris and the dash lit up the engine turned over, all just like it should, and then everything died. I got it to start again and took it back a trail and it completely went dark. I will turn the key on and nothing will happen. No lights, no ppwer to winch, not able to start because it's completely dead. After sitting on the quad with the key in the on position the power suddenly came back on and I was able to start it and get it back to my vehicle . The battery is brand new and I checked the connections and they are tight. Any suggestions on where to start?

Odd Fuel System Issue (maybe)

So, @rutcutter and I bought our XP1000's at different times and from different dealers. We use independently sourced fuel; he usually ~110 Octane Ethanol free and me usually PURE88 Ethanol Free. We've tried additives, Seafoam, etc - thinking maybe we both somehow managed to get bad fuel, but we're convinced our simultaneous and EXACT same issues are not fuel, but instead filter or fuel pump related.

Symptoms:

Bombing down the trail, any terrain, any speed and after ~30 miles, it will start acting like its fuel starve. Sometimes you can feather the throttle a little and keep it going, but its very lurchy. In most cases, once that symptom begins, usually you get a backfire or two, then the machine just comes to a slow stop and stalls. Fix seems to be, wait a few seconds, turn the key forward, listen to the fuel pump cycle and start it back up. Usually this is good for another ~5 miles before the stall occurs again.

I phoned in the VIN to Polaris, but they claim no recalls, no known TSB's or issues. We're both under 2000 miles on the bikes at this time.

Ideas?

why cant I………..

Hi all, when the going is good, I usually surf here to see who has issues with what and I try to help, well, now im the one who is lost and helpless! few months back had an issue with awd not engaging, took the diff out and examined it and the only thing I noticed was the top potion of the cage came separated with the body. ordered a new aluminum cage with rollers and springs, installed it,put everything back together, tested it in 2wd, back wheels only spin, put it in 4x4 and once the rears begin to slip, the front engage, ok perfect! so im outside today in 2x4 and realize I cant fishtail or do donuts, the front wheels grab as if it were in 4x4.. I do notice tention in the eps in 4x4 but also frees up when 4x4 is disengaged. is the awd supposed to kick in everytime it senses rear wheel spin even in 2x4? or do I have a different issue? any help is appreciated!
