Snow tracks Flare extensions

I have Tatou 4S tracks and everything is great. I am wondering if anyone here as installed the Fender Flare Extensions . The tracks kick up lots of snow so, before I buy and install them, I was wondering if it is worth the cost???
Thanks guys

2016 outlander 1000r xt-p .. looking into an exhaust upgrade , something just to give it some more bark.. (maybe a little power) and again , like shopping for the bike , shopping for exhaust has ,so many different types and options ... So I'd like to hear from guys who run aftermarket , what u got and how your experience was with them .... I'm looking for something I can get with a tuner as well ,cause I've heard and read enough to see why these bikes would need one in general let alone with a new pipe, any stories and advice is appreciated , THANKS !!

Defender on Tracks

To any and all out there. I hunt up here in Alaska and have hunted in an area that has quite a bit of muskeg and mud to it. I had no major issues with my rig when she was unladen, but a medium sized moose definitely made life interesting when I was working my way out. Had to winch with a pair of land anchors a few times. Now I also had to winch once when I was heading in but it was a hidden mess. Was curious if anyone has used tracks in muskeg and mud and how they handled with and without a load. I also have to travel over a pair of railroads and am concerned about how a tracked rig would be able to handle railroad tracks. I am looking at two options here: The cheaper option is to buy tracks if they will work (I can carry more gear, I am sheltered from the elements, I can't go down some trails due to SXS width). The more expensive option is to purchase a 6x6 ATV (lighter, and narrower to permit access to trails that were too narrow for the SXS).

06 800 max xt

No start, no roll issue
I was told that first year of these bike (mine was actually assembled in late 05)
Anyway was told that the cluster did not have a dess message for wrong key ??
I bought this bike as a no start so I'm going through and repairing everything as I go. Now I've gone through entire harness , checked all switches and circuits and heres what I've got.
I have a parasitic 3volts in grounds through my start circuit. So was told that key info is lost to ecu and by taking to dealer and having key reprogrammed this issue will go away. To test the wrong key dess thing I changed the ecu and still no wrong key message or trouble code on cluster. Can anyone tell me if the early 800 outlanders have no key/dess message in cluster? If your dess is engaged what works and what doesnt.

Debris trap, rear of ACE

After having several SxS and ATVs, noticed the ACE has more debris traps at rear undercarriage areas. Starting to think of making some shields to help with post ride clean ups. Muddy woods with leaves riding issue. Anyone done similar?

Do I need new exhaust or cleaning or cam or timing

So in my ongoing battle with what I thought was a carb issue that caused the flooding, I found out the issue based on research is ether partial clogged muffler, or timing is off, or the cam is warn out.. this is on my 05 sportsman 700.

So I took the muffler off and I'm not seeing much but could it be time for a new one... Or if something did make a nest inside how do I get it out? See attached photos.. I don't need a new muffler just to make it look pritty.

Coolant issues

Question. Coolant overflow tank is about empty at cold and when using it fills completely and comes out the overflow tube. Checked the radiator today when machine was warm and there wasnt and coolant that was visible or came out when I took the cap off. Ideas or anyone had this issue?

Premix and jetting

Picked up an 01 Trailblazer to fix up for the kids. Oil injection is blocked off so I have to premix and the carb was crap so I bought a 34mm Mikuni to replace the stock 30mm. Needs a slight bore, stock piston is right at service level with 115lb compression so I'm putting in a new 73mm piston. No other mods done. What are the benefits to shaving the head to up the compression? Is it worth it on an otherwise stock bike with a little bigger carb? And last, any suggestions on where to start jetting as far as premix ratio and primary/main jet size, clip position, etc.? I have a 45 pilot and 220 main in the carb now but that's quite the step up from the 30mm Mikuni with a 40 primary and 140 main. Thanks for any help guys!
