Hey guys, I’m trying to install a kfi winch on my 2011 500 ho. I have the winch on but the wiring has me confused. The electrical coming from the handlebar switch has the hookup for the wires on the contactor and I can do that, but it has a red wire coming out as well that obviously has to be connected to hot. I have 2 orange wires and a 4 hole connector that are pre wired under the handlebars. Do I hook the red into those? Or what the heck are they for?? Can I run an extender from the red wire to the red post on my contactor?

I am not mechanically inclined so please talk to me as if I’m 2. It’s probably the only way I will understand.

I have replaced the starter, starter clutch, and battery, but will nit start. I pulled the starter out and spins fine, but when I put it in and hit the start button the solinoid just clicks, any idea what I need to do?

I just bought a 2016 sportsman 450 ho, the quad is almost brand new, only 1500 km on it. It ran great for a few days. We had a cold snap, minus 40 Celsius to be exact. Went to start it, it started just fine, sputtered a bit and died within a few seconds. Would continue to turn over, but would not start. It did start for about 5 seconds the next day, backfired and didn't run again. 3 days later and a fresh charge on the battery and it ran for a few seconds again, then died. Figured I would get a new battery, had to be the issue. Bought a new battery, charged it up to capacity. Installed it, and here we are, it wont start just keeps turning over. It has fresh gas, good spark plug. I have no idea where to go from here. (Note, lights and winch work no problem when quad is on).

Hey guys, just got a 2014 Renegade 1000 and brought it home today, didn't get much seat time on it but I was able to take it for a quick run, however I noticed that it seems to rev high for the speed its travelling, like 4000rpm and around 40-50kmh does that seem normal? It doesn't feel like the belt is slipping or anything, any input would be greatly appreciated!

Check engine light came on , just after starting. Machine was outside uncovered. this happened last year and the machine went into limp mode. took to the dealer and the throttle cable needed adjusting, a little slop in it.

seemed to run fine today.

i was able to pull the codes today. please help

Just picked up a 2018 highlifter 1000 Xp got a stupid question is it normal for reverse indicator to blink in reverse?

Anyone have any issues with the back pumping up but when it goes to switch to front throws the engine light and air fault.. it's crazy cold here right now so maybe that has something to do with it.

Ok... Im going to throw this out there and see what happens! :grin I had an '05 Sportsman 700 Twin (not EFI) recently stolen. I am looking to replace it. I just dont know if I should go with the 570 or spend the extra for the 850? I rode the 570 today, and was impressed, but cant find an 850 locally to ride. I just really use it for hunting, and occasionally towing a small 6 foot trailer load of wood or a log splitter. Im a big guy (300lbs) so I dont want to end up with buyers remorse. Thanks!
