I’ve had my 2017 Can Am Outlander XMR 850 for about 3 months now with only 50 hours. When I first had the bike it rode like a dream. However, now, I have an extreme issue with the front suspension. Recently, when I drive, the bike feels as if someone is hitting the frame of the bike with a hammer when the front shocks top out (tires come off the ground). As soon as the suspension reaches full extension (front), sounds like a loud knock on the frame. I have already messed around with the preload, but this has not solved anything. I have set the preload, to where my springs are completely loose, and I still have the same noise when the suspension reaches full extension. Also, I have taken off the shocks from the bike, and the Fox Podium Shocks are super hard to compress! I can’t compress these shocks with my life! Is this even normal? Are my shocks blown? Are you able to compress them by hand? Please I need your help! I can’t drive with this problem, it literally hits my frame hard when I hit a bump. I’ve seen a couple of threads with my similar issue but no solution. Please help!
