Hi there. I have a 2006 sportsman 500HO. Am I to assume that the little 1/4" tube on the bottom of the engine beside the drain plug is a crank breather? I moved my quad out of the garage the other day and found about a cup of oil all over the garage floor. after investigating found that when I shut my quad off after riding the oil drains down this tube. happens all the time and at different oil levels in the oil tank so the oil isn't overfull. any other things that may contribute to this happening? any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Post your PLOW Setup and mini review
Just sharing my experience with the Cabela’s Red universal 50” plow I purchased during this Black Friday. Had it shipped to my house for $200 with free overnight delivery included. 😲😁
The assembly directions were terrible, diagram and step by step was a joke but after a few curse words I had it together in a few. Weighs about 125lb total, so adding weight to the rear via sand bucket or bag helps with traction.
Plowing snow is breeze with this, no more snow blowing and/or shovels by hand.
Upload photos of your setup and what like/dislike about it 👍🏻👎🏻

ATV Grease Options
Just curious about the different types of grease that you might use on your machine for examples, Suspension grease points, CV joints, Wheel bearings, Propeller shafts etc.
I see Can Am advertises only one type of grease for the entire machine XPS suspension. In the 2017 operators manual that came with my Outlander 570 they recommend A Castrol brand meant for CV joints but checking the Castrol official web there is no mention of a CV joint grease.
What do you guys like to use for DIY maintenance?

I normally use Shell Rotella. What do you guys think of this? It gets pretty good reviews. Hmmm.

Shifting problems
I have a 2001 sportsman 500 ho. Most of the time when I try to shift out of low gear into reverse or neutral it's stuck in gear and won't shift. I've had the clutch and shift box checked and linkage adjusted by the local polaris dealer many times and they said that can't figure it out. Hoping someone will have some suggestions.
What years have welded front diffs? (Torq locker)
Looking into installing a torq locker. I know some years come with the visco welded shut in the front diff. Does anyone know what years have the welded diffs? I do a lot of rock crawling, and would like true 4wd. I want to install the torq locker, but I hear some G1's have it sealed. Running a 2010 xt
