Greetings! I have an 850 highlifter and it runs great!
However, after I have ridden for a bit (5 miles or so) and I shut it off, it will not restart. I wait 15 minutes or so and then it starts right up no issues.
When this happens and I turn the key to the run position, dashboard light comes on as usual. When I turn key to "start" position, nothing happens with the starter....no solenoid click, no turn over. Lights stay on on dashboard. For example, it is like I am not pulling in the brake lever when attempting to start. But I am pulling the brake lever and still nothing. I have also tried it in park and neutral which would bypass the brake lever and nothing.
It is not overheated, it is not wet, it is not run hard.
Battery and charging system is fine
I have attempted to wiggle connections and that makes no difference.
The only thing that makes a difference is letting it sit for 15 minutes or so and then it will turn over and start right up.
Dealership is stumped.
Any great ideas out there!
Thanks in Advance!
