Brand new 570 died on the trail…?

I have a brand new sportsman 570 with 50 miles on it. I bought it about a month ago and had just tooled around my property with it. Took it out for its first real trail ride on Saturday, I got about a mile in and the check engine light came on, it bogged and died. It starts up and idols fine, as soon as I give it throttle it barley moves and almost seems like it’s in limp mode, and enevitlly dies again. My buddy towed my back to the truck and I let it sit for 20 min or so as I was doing some thinking. I fired it up, no check engine light, and it runs perfect. I go back out and this time I get a whole 3 miles out and guess what same damn thing. I start it to see if I can limp it on the trailer, it blows white smoke and gives a weird smell. I’m madder than a midget with a yo-yo, entire weekend ruined and we had to drag a brand new machine out of the woods. Anybody experience the same issue or have any idea what it could be. It’s still under warranty and I’m bringing it back to the dealer, but just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else.

Opinion Poll on my ’18 450

Answered an opinion poll link, hoping to bitch about their lousy warranty and stupid battery location, but all they wanted was my age, bought new or used, # of hours, and # of miles. That was the end.....WTF? I guess they don't give a rat's ass if I'm happy with it or not?

Issues with my 570

So heres some issues ive ran into. I bought my sportsman brand new. It has 881km and 51 hours. I use it for trail riding but i do play in mostly mud and water. Never sunk been stuck a handful of times on stock tires still. The belt box getting water was my first big issue. Went thorough water about floor board high and belt started to slip and atv wouldnt move. Drain water and were good to go. I removed the rear cover and siliconed the seals bolts and where the two lids go together. Problem fixed. Next is the issue where i hit the key and it acts like the starter may have a bad connection it clicks all lights stay on dash but does not turn over. If you hit the key a couple times it will eventually turn over. My left control where the engine kill switch is was loose so when i would have to back out of a hole and use rev override it would move the whole thing. I tightened it where it doesnt move and havent had the issue with the key. I will keep you updated on this issue.

Intense Red Touch Up Paint

Has anyone found touch up paint for Can-Am Intense red? I believe it might be Can-Am B101, but not completely sure. I have a few nicks in the paint I would like to touch up.

Missing bolts from front end

Hi guys & gals,

Wondering if anyone else has a 2008 Sportsman 500 and could tell me where the front/lower mounting bolts are supposed to be secured.

We noticed that the front end was sagging so we looked around and found that there are supposed to be two bolts securing the assembly on the front end, underneath the differential. There are two sets of holes, can anyone tell me the correct placement for these?

If anyone could take some pictures that would be helpful.
