2018 450 H.O. vs 2018 570 – Deal Review

Hi All,

I am currently in the market for my FIRST ATV. Looking at a Sportmans 450 H.O. vs 570. I know the concensus would be the 570 but the deal on the 450 H.O really has me wondering.

2018 LEFTOVER 450 H.O - $4,100 OTD (minus tax) and is local.
2018 LEFTOVER 570 - $5,200 OTD (minus tax) and is 6 hours from me.

I plan to do a little trail riding, light plowing, and just recreational riding. Is the 570 worth $1,100 and a 6 hours drive one way?

Winch making Speedo blink

I just mounted a Denali plow on my 2018 sportsman 570. When I hit the winch switch the main screen blinks once. Never done this before. What could be causing this? Thanks

Quick Question: Brake issue

Quick question guys. I had my 2001 Sportsman 500 HO out this past weekend. It was ridden pretty hard. At one point I lost all brakes at the handlebars (straight to the bars). I Turned around and brought it to the truck and by the time I got it there I had full brakes again which worked the remainder of the day!! Any ideas?!

Front hood does not fit well

One tab is missing and the plastic edge near the steering overlaps the fenders.
Is there anyway to adjust that fit? Can't believe they would have made it that way.

It looks like maybe some replaceable clips are missing?

How about drilling a few holes and using some SS screws?

2007 Polaris EFI 500 X2

The ATV ran for about 5 minutes idling the other day, then died. Wouldn't start with the key, but I was able to pull start it. I ran it for about 30-45 minutes and turned it off. It made a noise when I tried to start it, wouldn't start, so I was able to pull start it. Went out to start it today, and no illumination on the screen, wouldn't start- no noise. I took the cover off and all seemed well, when putting the cover back on it tried to illuminate the screen but wouldn't stay on. I checked and tightened the battery connections. I took apart what I could and couldn't find anything obviously wrong except I need to top off my antifreeze. And now it won't let me pull start it. I don't have a voltage meter (plan to get one tomorrow) but I got zapped by the battery when I was tightening the connections. Help!!! Please!!!!

problem

570 sportsman efi eps touring 470 hours 4300 miles, started a month ago sputtering going up hill, clean tank, new plug sprayed connections, run fine for two weeks now it started again, was able to idle it home but when giving it throttle to get up a grade sputter and back fire thru exhaust, this morning it ran fine when cooled down but the idle varies 100 rpms and no codes showed up any opinions, going to town tomorrow to get a fuel pressure gauge

Fixed the footwell cracked off front edge, almost good as new.

I was not responsible for that damage, happened years ago, nephews did it and taped it together.

I took off the footwell, cleaned off the dirt and tape residue.
I used my Weller solder gun, and edge stitched it back together inch by inch front and back sides.

Then to smooth it and glue it together more securely, used my propane torch direct to the plastic surface.
Heated the surface, then using a screwdriver smoothed the plastic all over. The plastic is fiberglass reinforced, so you can slightly see the fiberglass milled fibers showing. Using the torch is a delicate process, you want to melt and soften the plastic, but not too much, and you don't want to burn it or catch fire.

It is real solid strong again. It was not too hard, I have repaired plastic before using heat to melt it back together.
