2004 Polaris sportsman 500 4x4 , I washed it and now it wont stop running until I turn the lights on, some say its the ignition switch , I think they may be thinking of the older model that you had to push the red switch up to start, that is not my model ,mine is just a key start. I ammmmmm lost , any help would be awesome so I’d ont buy a bunch of stuff I don’t need.

Trying to figure out what is the deal. So during Hurricane Florence in N.C. i was unable to take My 2015 Sportsman XP 1000. I never thought it was going to flood but infact it did. The garage took over5 ft of water. I even had to take a jon boat to get back to my house in NC. So when i came back the atv was ontop of my pressure washer. I was unable to stay and correct any of the damages, until about a week later. Long story short; try to turn over and nothing no light displayed nothing.The ATV will not crank it has been drying out in garage with dehumidifiers. I have changed fluids and recharged battery for up to 8 hrs on slow charge but have not had battery tested. Just trying to get an overall consenus on what might be wrong/need to be replaced. I'm leaning on taking to the dealer but seeing if i can manage to figure/repair on my own. Has not been turned over/ ran. Unpluged all connectors cleaned them out. Thanx in advance.

I recently bought a 1997 xplorer 500. It ran good and drove but the front left CV was exposed, and all of the u-joints had slop. I changed all of the u-joints in the rear axles and the mid drive shaft without a problem. I purchased new CV axles for the front and installed them. No problem with the left one, but when I tighten the right one to the recommended 100 inch lbs, the steering gets very tight. It’s rideable, but it’s tight enough that I’m sure it will prematurely wear out the tie rod ends. If I loosen the axle nut a little, the steering loosens right up, but I’m assuming leaving it loose enough so the steering isn’t tight will trash the wheel bearings. I’ve never encountered anything like this before. Any thoughts?

Hello, just bought my first ATV, Can Am Outlander 650XT. Have been a motorcycle rider all my life, mostly street bikes with an occasional dirt bike in the mix. Currently semi-retired engineer recently located from Oregon to upstate SC. My BIL bought one today also and both of us are new to this particular activity and excited to hit some trails.

Just bought a 2017 450 and I’m about to snorkel it, do I need to run vent lines? Anything else I need to know before taking it in deeper water? Also about to trade my 27” bighorns for 28 mega mayhems, will it turn them decently?

I have a 2017 sportsman 570 and had it out last week to make room in the garage and no problem. I go to start today to put plow on and all it does is like a quarter turn of the motor and that's it. I thought maybe battery and put a new one in and does the exact same thing, just a little 1/4 crank and then stops???? About 80 miles on her so next to new and with a new battery now that i probably did not need..... Any help greatly appreciated....

my sportsman 500 will crank fine idle, and rev for 10 seconds then dies, will crank backup fine same thing dies, anyone ever had this problem or know how to fix it

I ordered a Tusk Subzero plow kit for my 2018 Sportsman 570 but the atv mount is for an ACE 570. The 2 mounts are 11" apart. Are there any other brand mounts that will work with the plow system I have?? Thanks!
