I just picked up my machine today, the dealer installed a new trunk and installed the heat dissipation kit because of the plastic melting issue, I take it out of my truck and notice the tail light out, I look closely and it looks like the housing is starting to melt, I pulled the bulb and thought the housing was going to break but it didn't, the light housing had started to melt and the grey connector the bulb goes in has started to melt. Wtf

I checked the other side, while not as bad does show signs of melting.

Not feeling real warm and fuzzy about this machine so far

Hi, new to the forum and live down in New Zealand. I have acquired a 2007 Outlander 400 HO into my stable of bikes. Having some issues. when I got the bike the gear selection was and still is in reverse. Park is park and neutral is neutral, however in R it goes forward and L and H are 2 speeds in reverse.

Secondly, the 2 and 4WD aren't working, so I removed the motor, pushed the locating shaft in towards the motor to lock it into 4WD permanently, thinking this would be fine for the bush and hunting. when I started the bike again, my front wheels are going backwards and the rears forwards, so just a total no go and very bemused. I have a very good mechanical knowledge of bikes but this one has stumped me. any help would be very much appreciated.

So as the title says im having troubles with my winch. My buddy got stuck in a pretty deep hole and his winch got burned up trying to pull him out so I hooked up to him along with another guy with a winch and we got him out but as we got him out my winch just seemed like it gave up. It was no longer working at all it wont go in or out but it clicks at the relay so im thinking that the relay went out but at the same time im kinda thinking it burned out because why would the relay just go out like that? Oh and its the stock winch that comes on the outlanders.

Hey I have an outlander 650 XT 2017 and was thinking of getting one as a new belt for the outlander as I have been rough on the current one and hear a lot of squealing from it at all speeds and loss of top speed and torque.

Anyone have any experience with the dayco XTX belts?

The add on is for a Kohler 237550 tractor.
Found for a good price on ebay at $20.

Feels solidly built.
It sort of fits as is to the muffler, but I will make a sleeve adapter I think to fit better to the Polaris muffler.
And other end will have a hanging strap.
It DOES quiet the exhaust, and seems worthwhile to me, it deadens the pulsing exhaust sounds. The motor itself still has mechanical noises.

Muffler does not interfere with anything. seems almost like made for it. You could just use 2 hangers and not even bother attachment to the polaris muffler.

Approximately how many tanks of fuel will a tank of oil last? How do I know if the engine is getting enough oil mixed in with the fuel?

Any idea where I can find a mounting plate for my 03 Sportsman 700? I had a Glacier 1 snow plow given to me but I cant find a mounting plate anywhere. Local dealer said they are a discontinued part...Help
