We were playing in water today like we have a bunch of other times already, my son got stuck with the 2018 sp850 and was working it. We ended up having to pull him out and his machine was sitting in the water for about 10 minutes. Once we pulled it out, he went up a slight incline then noticed his belt slip and stopped right away. I pulled his plug and reved it up in neutral and a small amount of water came out. After we rode it and 0 issues but I’m still trying to figure out why water got in the housing. It didn’t go deep enough for the intake and exhaust to take water in. We have had it in deeper water with 0 issues so I’m at s loss. Any ideas? The spot were the intake and cv. Housing meets was wet. I’m wondering if that joint leaked.

I found out this is the reason. Is there anything else I can use to replace this part

I need to install a snow plow on my 2018 Can Am Defender DPS5, but I need access to the frame. What is the best way to remove the rivets/screws that hold the skid plates in?

I recently picked up a 2011 sportsman 850xp and I'm goin through it now repairing whatever need to be fixed. I've got oil in the air box so I have the new breather kit on the way. I was just wondering if y'all put silicone on the valve cover gasket when your putting it back together? I noticed some old silicone on the front part of the gasket so I was just making sure. I also noticed a little leak coming from the seal while I was taking it apart. Any info would be appreciated, Thanks.

I should have just cut it free.
Weak plastic parts.
So I ordered a new valve off Ebay for $8, it is a 'JB Racing' part, comes with a 1 yr warranty.
Is it any good?

I'm wondering how importaint getiing an oil cooler for my quad. I do a lot of trail riding in florida and it does get hot from time to time. Would this help that problem?
