Gen2 Outlander Front Drive Shaft

Just Sheard my front driveshaft on my Outlander 2017 XMR 1000R. A couple of posts I read told me something about pulling the motor mounts and rotating engine. All I had to do was remove the three differential mounting bolts and rotate the rear end of the front diff upward to give me all the room I needed. Is there something I’m missing? Everything I read made it sound a lot more difficult than it actually was…

Warn RT25 winch does not free spool properly

I backed it all the out using the motor then I ran it all back in smoothly on the spool.
If you turn the end to free spool, it might pull out a turn or 2 of the spool then it locks.

So what is up with that? How to fix, does it need to be taken apart and greased?

Alpine plow kit question

Hey all,
I just bought the alpine plow kit for my 2012 outlander XMR. Put everything together w/ no issues. Now I am having trouble w/ the mounting bracket. I got ATV KIT sku# 715001411. I verified it with the dealer. From what I can see this just isn’t the right kit. Now where I don’t know if the issue may be...when I went to the dealer they had it listed as a 2011 XMR...when I went to purchase it, good news they said they ran the vin and its actually a 2012. Verified that. Now from what I can see...the 2011 and the 2012 look exactly the same. Has anyone else had any issues with the mounting bracket on their 800XMR 2012. Case I’m stumped! Thanks all for any input.

Starting issue help!!!

I have a 98 sportsman 500

I push the button to start it up and it will crank but then stop. Feels like battery is dead. Check battery and has good power in it. I did replace the voltage regulator a couple of years ago and could have been a cheap chinese one but not sure. could it be decompression because quad has been sitting for a year or so.. When i pull the starter it is hard to pull but will fire right up. any ideas before i go into the motor for this decompression spring i am hearing about or could it be electrical?

QSC clutch kit

I just got my kit in the mail. I honestly have never clutched any of my previous machines and do not know much about it at all. I’ll be having the shop install it. As you can see my secondary spring is silver/orange. They have written down that it’s silver/green. I’m wondering which is correct? Did they write it down wrong or give me the wrong spring? It’s for a 18 sportsman 1000 with 26” tires. I was hoping someone here has installed this kit and can tell me what color the spring was. I’ll obviously contact RVS but they won’t be open till Monday now.

I know this is a worn out question, but I'm at a lost! 2006 sportsman 800 that is used primarily as a heavy mud and water ride. most of the time I'm under 15 mph, 90% of my riding is done in low. EPI mudder clutch kit for up to 29.5 tires, clutches cleaned and properly aligned, snorkeled right and tight, so never any water in housing! she never creeps and shifting is easy and smooth.......But she keeps blowing belts! I't has to be something and it's become a pain in the..........Any help will be appreciated!

Vin says 6×6 but only has 4 wheels

I need to know more about my atv iv never owned one before and this on is a fixer upper. More of a project for my boyfriend. I looked up the vin and it says it's a 03 polaris sportsman 6x6 but it only has 4 wheels. And I'm not sure what cc it is either I think it's 400. What other numbers can I use to identify which exact atv I have. Where is the model number located. There is no plastic on the atv either so hard to compare with photos
