2008 renegade power failure

I’m wondering why my renegade lost all electrical power after riding it midway on a road. My theory is that i put on a snorkel and when i went to put on the plastic piece that houses the display screen, that i didnt fully push in the connector to the display of the quad. So I’m wondering if the connector came unplugged from the vibrations of riding it and if thats the reason why the quad would lose all power and prevent me from starting the quad again?

Ricochet skid plates

Just a quick FYI, Ricochet redesigned there skid plates for the 2017 and newer XP 1000 and 850 to allow the Polaris Glacier quick mount plow to attach without removal🤓 I called to make sure they would work and they confirmed the recent change. I’m going to modify my current skid on my 2015 SP 850 using the new ones as a template. I will post pics when the new skids come in and after I modify the existing skid plate:grin

Winter Camping!!

Hello All!

I am looking forward to getting set up for winter camping with the quad on tracks!! I don't think there is a machine out there with more potential for extended winter trips!

Here is my gear so far. I am looking for suggestions (based on experience if possible). Have I gone wrong somewhere. I bring a lot of gear but also enjoy a very comfortable camp!!
1. Sled pulled behind Quad
2. small wall tent and frame
3. small cot
4. small wood stove
5. Chainsaw Axe
6. General camping gear (sleeping bag, food, etc.)
7. Snowshoes

I got a real lesson last year when I got stuck badly and had to walk out to the road. The snow was extremelly deep and I had no snowshoes. It was an almost impossible task even though it was a short distance. I have included a photo for reference. My buddies feet are not on the ground in the photo. At least 5 feet of powder. We were still ok with two on the quad.
