2016 850 just started running Bad

My 2016 Renegade 850 xxc with aprox 50 has started running poorly. Feels kind of like an intermittent spark or bad/plugged fuel injector. As soon as it started running like crap I shut if off. The front cylinder was cool to touch, and the rear was much wormer. Hasn't thrown any codes as of yet. When it all started it was almost out of gas, thinking I was running out of gas. But I refilled it with fresh gas and no change. I don't think I have water in the gas tank, as it is hardly driven and is always stored inside.

First thing I need to do is check for spark, and replace with a new set of spark plugs. Then from there I guess, possible plug wires, plug boot, dirty injector......

Just don't know if there is a smoking gun that these machines are known for that I might be missing.

Thanks
Bill

2009 Sportsman 500 HO EFI- Mid range miss

OK so, I have a 2009 Sportsman EFI. Story goes it was owned by and older couple who only drove it around their yard. Unit had 1070 Miles when I bought it from a dealer. I put 200ish miles on it and it started missing around 4000rpm, but picks back up after, and has little to no hesitation on a hard launch. Changed the oil and noticed a ton of silver, Thought my motor was trashed. After performing a COLD leak-down test, I have confirmed the motor is still good. I don't think this thing was ever ridden hard enough to do a proper break in...I am hoping. Ive checked for a leak around the injector, nothing found. (Used ether to check for leaks) I did adjust the valves to .006 Intake and Exhaust. Checked the battery terminals, those were good. At this point Im thinking its an electronic issue. I have seen guys talk about T-bap issues? No idea what that is to be honest.

Any hits or tips or tricks to check would be helpful! Please let me know!!

I have a mechanical background this thing just has me stumped.

2015 Sportsman 850 SP Rough Starting

Howdy folks,

My Sportsman is still nearly new. Bought it new at the end of 2016 and have right at 50 hours and 91 miles on it.

Last weekend I was riding it around the property and parked it for about 10 minutes. When I went to start it up, I didn't hear the fuel pump pre-charge. The bike ran for about 5 seconds and wouldn't restart. I downloaded the service manual and proceeded with the checks. Everything indicated that it was the pump. Although I think the service manual is very vague when it comes to how many ohms it should read to be considered bad. Anyway I nearly fell over when I saw the price for a new Polaris pump ($400) so I found the quantum fuel systems pump kit much more reasonable ($69) and ordered it. I was pretty ticked off that the Bosch OEM pump failed at 50 hours but apparently I'm not alone. So I spent yesterday installing the new pump and regulator and took it for a test drive. From day one this bike has been cold natured. Starts right up, but unless it's been running for at least 3 minutes any throttle input causes it to pop back through the air cleaner. It is a slug until it gets up to temp. Yesterday was no exception but I will say that changing that pump alone increased the felt power considerably. It took off like a rocket and caught me off guard. I was very surprised at how much more power it made so I believe the OEM pump was weak from day one.

Are there any suggestions where to look to correct the cold starting issue? I am considering ordering the NGK plugs for it just for starters. I am also wondering about how fresh the fuel is since I've probably only refilled it about five times since I've owned it. I do use Starbright for the ethanol control and I add about 3 oz of Seafoam to every tank. The Starbright is what I use in my boat and motorcycle. They state that it will keep the fuel fresh for up to 3 years and I've never had any problems while using it.

I appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks!

2007 Polaris Hawkeye – runs but clutch shaft not turning

hello all, looking for some assistance with a 2007 Hawkeye. the engine is running great, however the clutch shaft is not turning. i can manually turn it. in one direction it turns freely and in the other i can feel it turning the engine over. The other issue I'm having is that the nut to remove the clutch will not budge. i am going to borrow a 3/4 drive impact and see if that will get it off. Any ideas what is wrong with this machine and why it will not drive?

Thx.
