Hey folks...
Two weekends ago I picked up a used 2015 Sportsman 850 SP EPS. I had been out of quads since about 2011 and had been missing it. I got into motorcycles in 2010, so at the time, I had lost interest in ATVs.
I've had a bunch of quads over the years, starting in 2002 with a Grizzly 660, a Rincon, Arctic Crap 400 (spelling intentional), 2005 Sportsman 800 and a 2009 Sportsman 850 XP EPS camo. Sadly I only kept that 850 for two years and put 400 miles on it before I sold it.
Since getting this new (to me) 850, I've put on new wheels and tires, a trunk, hand guards (I saved them from my last 850), fuel pack mounts, hand warmers and a GPS mount. I'm saving up for a winch and bumpers. Oh and I have a clutch kit coming this week.
I'm heading to Moab the week of Thanksgiving.. bringing my 2002 Grand Cherokee and the quad. Will do some trails in the Jeep, but probably most on the quad.
Pix are from Saturday in a local riding area called Bulldog Canyon.
Hey guys I’m new to the forum. I wouldn’t say I’m a beginner on fixing four wheelers but this one has me having some trouble figuring it out. I just recently got a 2002 Polaris magnum 335. It drives great in forward and shifts from high to low just fine. But when I shift into reverse it shifts fine and works great but I’m hearing a tick/click. It sounds pretty bad going in reverse. I jacked up the rear end and you can’t hear the clicking when you have it running in reverse. I then killed the engine and with it still in reverse I rolled the tires backwards and you can hear the sound. I thought it was the axel but I’m hearing it in the gear box it seems like. It’s right in front of the driveshaft I believe. I bought new u joints for it and I was about to replace those but I don’t think that’s the sound either. Thoughts? It almost sounds like the gears are trying to engage with each other but slipping. I don’t understand this though since it drives in reverse just fine. Please help!!!
I just joined the forum. I recently purchased a 2014 Can Am Maverick 1000R XXC. I wish I would have bought one sooner. I look forward to learning about this machine. I have one quick question. What's the biggest tire I can put on it without a lift kit, and will I need to change the clutch?

This weekend’s AMSOIL Ironman GNCC signified the end of the season for the 2018 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series, an AMA National Championship. On Sunday, October 28 some of the best off-road motorcycle riders took to the woods in Crawfordsville, Indiana for the 24th annual event.
Howdy. Been away from the ATV world since I was kid, looooooong time ago. I knew the trouble I got into with them, which is why I didn't have any around when my kids were growing up. Well, the kids are gone. I wanted a grown up ATV to use around the our farm for cutting/hauling some firewood, hunting, etc. But then I found this one and after 5 minutes on it, you couldn't wipe the smile off my face...
It's a 2008 800 HO. More of a grown up, with a mid life crisis, ATV.:grin
Couple inches of lift, 30" tires, and more than enough power to get me into trouble just like when I was a kid.
Middle musquodoboit Nova Scotia.
