Looking for advice on shocks

Hey Guys,

I'm running a 2016 650xmr with OEM shocks and looking to make an upgrade. After asking around I had decided to go with the Elka 3's. Unfortunately, I just found out that Elka doesn't make anything for my make/model so I'm back to the drawing board.

Any suggestions from this group? What to get? What to avoid? Experienced riders pls sound off...

New engine installation fsil

Hi guys. I installed another motor in my sportsman 550 and connected everything up but when I turn the key it sounds like things are turning on but when I turn the key the engine doesn’t turn over. I’m new to this so any help would be appreciated

EPS problems

Hey all..
I have a 2016 sportsman 1k and the EPS will randomly cut out under acceleration usually over 4,500 rpm and when I let off the throttle the EPS would come back. It’s very random, some occasions the EPS will not come back until I turn off ignition and restart. Battery tests good, relay in fuse box is clean and new. Does anyone have any ideas?

Fuel gauge issues

Hey guys, gotta post my first issue. My fuel gauge has been "intermittent" since shortly after I bought it. The only issue I've had on my 2016 touring 570 eps. It has gotten to the point that it is always flashing on empty...no matter how much gas is in the tank. Any ideas?

New here from Winnipeg, Manitoba

Hello all,

I'm new here and realatively new to ATVs. I've been lurking for a few weeks now and figured I should probably just join.
We have had an Artic Cat 550 for a few years now and recently picked up a Polaris Sportsman 500 efi that needed some work.

To our surprise, we tuned it up, replaced the stator and got it running. I feel like I'm hooked.

We live in Winnipeg Manitoba, look forward to the discussions.

Tuner help

I just bought two new outlander XT’s 2019 a 650 for the wife and 1000 for myself love the bikes in every aspect. Only issue is the speed cap they put on them, the bikes have much more potential expecially the 1000, I’m not really looking to bury huge money into each bike right off the bat but a tuner is likely my only option. I’m not a huge gear head and not overly knowledgeable on the tuner part of things so I’d prefer more of a plug and go instead of learning how to tune things myself and so on. Might be interested in that later down the road but as for right now I’d just prefer to eliminate the top speed cap.

Check engine light

Is it supposed to come on before engaging the starter? It is a new bike. It starts and runs fine with no trouble lights after starting (engine light goes off).

I'd appreciate any help.

Please help: 2005 Traxter Max 650 Starter removal problem

Greetings from extremely remote Alaska,


Can someone help me with advice on how to remove the starter from my 2005 Traxter Max 650? I have removed the 3 bolts holding it to the engine block, but the starter will not budge when I try to pull it out. I have tried a small pry-bar and a hammer, but to no avail (probably because of the bad angle, not much room to work in) - and I don't want to simply hit it harder for fear that I'll mess something up. I'm thinking maybe some kind of rod (like a piece of rebar) and tapping straight onto the engine side of the starter (if I can catch a little edge with the bar) - if I can find a clear shot to put the bar into from the other side of the vehicle.


Anybody done this before? Any hints or clues are greatly appreciated!!!
