HMF Swamp XL Pipe and HMF Optimizer for a 570

HMF XL pipe for sportsman 570 with HMF fuel controller. I bought the pipe used but the controller is brand new.

Here is a link to a thread I made about the exhaust (with a few pics): https://www.polarisatvforums.com/for...e-exhaust.html

I had $175 in the pipe originally but then bought a quiet core ($30) and a turn down ($40). I paid $240-ish for the optimizer. Both have only seen the trail once since they have been installed.

Asking $400. Located in Lynchburg, VA. Willing to ship or meet up locally but I can't travel (just don't have time right now).

2008 800ho efi exhaust help

Hi guys I purchased a 2008 sportsman 800 ho efi. The duel exhaust are rusted out and finding stock replacements are crazy expensive. Is there a cheaper option like can I run a single exhaust. Or does it have to stay stock duel. Please help. I'm not looking to make it loud. Just want it to perform like its supposed to.

punched a hole in the floor

I live in No.Calif. in Lassen National forest which is pretty much volcanic rock and hard pack dirt,Anyways I was coming down a trail just above idle and ran over what I think was a rock with the left front when I felt and heard under my left foot a loud impact. So I stopped and got out and looked underneath and saw nothing leaking and no hole in the skid pan. When I got back in I looked down at the floor and there was a hole a little smaller than a tennis ball.Apparently what ever I ran over hit in the area just above the skid pan where it slopes up to form the wheel well,Just probably bad luck that hit in the most vulnaurable spot.Suprised me because I was going slow.Iam thinking maybe that area needs help maybe a piece of starboard epoxied there the plastic is pretty thin in that area.Anybody else come across this?

Tire rub options

Hello all,

I am a new member here and have a couple of questions that I would sure appreciate some help with.

A bit of info on my machine and how I like to ride, I have a 2017 1000 max-xtp and I have added some modest aftermarket parts to it. I have put in Highlifter arched A-arms, Yosi pipe, rear linq box, full factory skidplates, and some heated front and rear grips. I really like the machine the ride, the power...I love it and am very happy with the purchase.

I ride mostly old logging roads that are deactivated, these trails have little mud, mix in some single track technical trails as well but just less often.
I was having some clearance issues when going down hill where I would bash the front skid plates on a few of the larger and unavoidable rocks.

So, I asked the guys at the shop where I purchased my machine, about options for a little more clearance. I was told that bigger tires was the best option that wouldn't affect the ride but still give me some extra clearance.

I was told 30inch tires would fit very easily and that with a lift kit they would be no problem at all.

I made the descision to go with a 28" tire thinking it was only 2" more than stock. I have since learned about the differences in actual size of stock tires vs. aftermarket.

I chose the Kenda Bearclaw htr and really like the traction and clearance I get/gained with the tire. It is a great tire, but unfortunately it rubs under compression on medium hits going down hill around corners, or even straight on with some speed mixed in. At slow speed it doesn't rub at all that I have noticed. .

this leads me to my questions:

1). Has anyone used this tire (28x9 front, 28x11 rear) on their machines and if so, what did they do to deal with the tire scrub?

2). Does anyone have a good suggestion for a lift kit?

I have been looking for a modest lift kit (1.5 - 2") to give me some clearance for these tires and can only find spring spacers which I wasn't really that interested in.
I really liked the Super ATV forward offset A-arms but it turns out that they do not fit my machine.....bummer. Highlifter doesn't make a lift kit for my machine.

I have to say I was hesitant to go to a lift kit as I quite like the ride of my machine and didn't want to do anything to upset that, but now that I am committed to the tires, it seems I am stuck with solving the tire scrub issue.

I would be open to some minor trimming of the plastic fenders but it seems like the rubbing is on the middle of the inner fender,... in my mind meaning that trimming wouldn't help, maybe a heat gun and bending it? I also thought of a 1" wheel spacer to try and move the tire over away from the spot where it is rubbing, but, I think that this will just move the problem to the outer fender?

any help would be appreciated,
thanks,
Ed1

Front gearcase leak.

It appears I have a bit of a leak on my 2014 Polaris 850 sportsman where the drive shaft goes into the front gearcase. Anyone have an idea of how to fix this? Is this a take the entire gearcase out and rebuild the seals? It can that plastic housing case be removed and new seals put in? There isn't any play in the shaft. Thanks!

DS 250 choke linkage

I took of carb and installed larger jets. But I didn’t pay attention to the choke linkage, specifically the placement of the spring behind the choke lever, when I took apart. (Yeah kinda dumb) Now I’m having trouble getting choke linkage back the way it should. Any thougts on how this spring should be positioned would be appreciated.

Engine light comes on during ride. It will sometimes chug then be fine. Temp sits around 88-92 so I can’t see it overheating. Went for a short ride this evening and light came on 5 min in then was chugging like crazy for a long time. Any suggestions would help
