Ace 150 problems

Hey everyone ! I'm new to the forum but I've been riding just about everything since the late 60's. I just picked up a Polaris ACE 150 for my grandson that was sitting for about a year. The battery was weak so I installed a new battery. It started a few times but wouldn't rev up much and while idling would run for awhile then run out of fuel, I drained the fuel and added a small amount of dry gas in case of water in the system and it started running better, Now it won't engage the starter without jumping the solenoid. When the key is turned on you can hear the fuel pump start but when you turn farther to engage the starter no click and no attempt to start. Jump the solenoid and it starts. Still some performance issues but I'm hopping they'll work out of it. Could it be the solenoid or something I'm overseeing that won't send the signal to the solenoid? Thanks

Can anyone telling the best way to install halo lights on my outlander ,I'm thinking of tackeling it myself ,wondering if there are any things I should look out for while installing them?

2000 scrambler 500 HO no power

Recently acquired a scrambler. Took it for a ride and shortly after it died while riding and lost all electrical power. Has a new battery. I'm starting to think the ecm fried. The ignition switch was not working so the plug had a jumper wire to start(with the help of a screwdriver arced across the solenoid to start). I dont see a fuse or circuit breaker anywhere on this atv, is there one? Also, how would I check the ecm to verify if its fried or not? Any help/info is appreciated.

question about tires

I see many atv's with the same size tires all around espeacially the STI Outbacks ,can someone tell me why that is . Maybe I'm old school with 9" on the front and 11" on the back . I am looking to buy new tires this coming spring and am just wondering what the benefits are of going 1 size all around.:nerd

Windshield for 850 XP EPS

I've been looking online for a windshield for a 2009 Sportsman 850 XP EPS, but all the good ones I'm seeing say they only fit a 850 SP. What's the difference and would it still work on my XP?

2016 850 HL runs rough

My HL runs rough and dies in park or nuetral but idles high when shifted into gear. Gear position on monitor would not show the correct gear unless I wiggled the shifter. Thought I had it fixed when I noticed a hole in the gear position switch and replaced it. Now the monitor shows the right gear position but still has the rough running issue. Also the check engine light is on. Anybody seen this or have some info ?

Stacking quads for storage – What have you done?

I've got two 125 cc kid quads I'd like to stack for storage purposes. and so that I can have access to them without having to move my ATV to get them out. Thinking about doing a hinged set up that would turn the deck into a ramp, and a pulley/winch set up to lift the end back up. But I'd like to see what everyone else has done as well.

Why will polaris codes NEVER clear ??????

Hey Guys,
I got a shop and when a polaris comes in with wiring problems, the codes NEVER disappear after the repair. Removing battery, positive, negetive, or touch the cables together, NOTHING WILL WORK! Except dragging the damn thing down to the dealer and and re-flashing the computer. Ive been through this with over 20 or more ATV/RZR/Ranger. Now maybe if you drove the thing for an hour or started it 25 different times it may make a difference, but I know of ZERO ways to clear the codes by anyway ever posted online.

If there is a polaris genius out there that knows a valid way to reset, please share for us. But 100% of what is posted online is BS!!!

Swisher snow plow

Anyone have any experience with the swisher snow plow set-up? I like that it doesn’t require a semi-permanent mount installed underneath but am unsure about it connecting to lower front a-arm. Any input appreciated!
