dealer screwed me

hi all,
so i went this saturday of the long weekend to pickup my new 2018 xmr 850. this was a 5 1/2 hour drive for me, one way. didn't mind though because i was buying brand new according to the salesman i was dealing with. so i arrived between 12-12:30 like i had told them. i had to stand around for awhile because they had to get ahold of the sales guy, because he was not in that day(didn't know that) after waiting a half hour or so they took me in the back to show me, and go over the bike. as the guy is showing me things i point out the antifreeze is below the minimum mark so he topped it up. then noticed the oil on the dipstick was low(oh, he says) and tops it up.then proceeds to show me the instrument cluster, this i when i notice it shows 9.37 hrs and 5.6 kms! when i mention this i'm told it has already been droken in. i don't have to worry about doing it. ??? this is thee main reason i bought brand new. so i would be doing the break in myself correctly. when questioned about this i was told that while in the showroom it had a misfire and had already been in for a warranty claim for a timing chain and a injector. but not to worry, the 10 hr maintenance was already done. and basically the papers were signed it was mine. to me this is a USED xmr!! am i correct on this?

Overheating no reason

I have a 2017 Can-Am Renegade XMR 1000. The four wheeler overheats for no reason when I am riding in the trails doing 10mph. I have a radiator relocate kit and the fan comes on. I do run water as coolant because the first time it overheated, all of the coolant came out. I live in Lower Alabama so it does get very hot and dusty. I do not have aftermarket exhaust or programmer. What is the isue?

Heavy duty springs

I up graded to fox shocks when bought my max 1000 but am finding the yellow springs aren’t stiff enough almost maxed out on adjustment order a set of HD spring out of catalog and asked my dealer to put them on cause machine was already there but service tech says they won’t fit on the fox shocks has anyone heard of this

Wiring harness comparison.

So I’m thinking about replacing my harness on my 2008 sportsman 500 HO EFI seeing how I can’t get my melted plug situation figured out on my other thread. https://www.polarisatvforums.com/for.../topics/139714

Upon searching, I found the OEM replacement to be 2410975. Somewhere on here posted that there is a “updated” harness, 2411471. Now searching that I have found that it does supersede the first one.

I’m just looking for some form of explanation for why it does. Thicker wiring? Better plugs? Any info would be appreciated, esp seeing how this is probably going to cost about $540 🤮

Thank You!

2001 Sportsman 500 ADR rear axle?

after a year and a half one finally started popping. Bike has a 2" bracket lift and 27" Executioners which might have had something to do with helping it along.

I can go cheapest and slap a $50 axle off amazon axle on it and see how long they last but came across these ADR axles on superatv for $75. Anybody run them? Do they hold up better than a stock replacement with the added stress of the bracket lift and larger more aggressive tires?

1st real ride went good, have a few questions tho

My 97 scrambler 400 did great, I have been running premix because the previous owner removed the oil tank and disconnected the pump. I just bought the tank and the pump is still there, what do i need to check to make sure everything will work fine. Another thing is the fuel consumption. I got like 35 miles on the tank of gas. Seems low but I haven’t owned a two stroke wheeler and never had a wheeler on the trails before, any info on that would be great. I can’t believe there isn’t as much info online about these machine like there is others. I have boyesen reeds and stock exhaust. Other then that all of my other issues have been resolved, thank you for your time and replies it has helped out so much

Wyoming Ride

Went to Wyoming for a family memorial service. Took the ashes of a dearly departed great aunt and uncle up to an area that was one of their favorite places to fish and spend time and spread them. Was a great trip to ride with family but was not the type of riding I prefer. More road type riding, for the bigger sise by side ATV/UTV machines. Great area to go but prefer the two track trails more. All in all was a great time to spend with family.

Buying used awareness

I recently bought a 2007 can am renegade 800 used at 160 engine hours and wanted to share my story .. I have had it for a week did a lot of maintence as it had low hours and never received any in 10 years .. it made a weird grinding sound when coasting at speed just before he engine brake engaged and while slightly holding the accelerator .. I didn’t think much of it was concerned slightly until yesterday while I was riding the sound got suddenly much worse and then something busted I assume my gear box .. it punctured the fuel tank and burst into flames while I was still moving luckily I made out with just road rash and no broken bones but it could have been a lot worse ... my lesson is never assume those weird sounds are ok throughly be sure especially if you are buying a used quad for your kids ...
