Polaris 08 500 efi electric problem

2008 sportsman, whenever I go to start it up I turn the key wait for the fuel pump to prime and it starts for a few seconds and then cuts out, 2nd time of starting it is normally ok, but now it has developed an intermittent fault. sometimes when you turn the key on there is nothing, no dash lights or anything and then after a few minutes when try again you turn the key the display lights up and it will start, any ideas would be appreciated, also it did a very strange thing the other day,, the engine was running then cut out and the bike was NOT running at all but the Rev counter was climbing up to 3000 revs and then down to 300 and then back up again but that engine wasn’t running it was just that rev counter still working, any help would be appreciated

Polaris Sportsman 500 misfiring at 1/4 throttle

I have a 2000 Polaris Sportsman that will idle fine but when I press the throttle at about 1/4 to 1/2 it begins to miss, doesn't back-fire, just acts like it can't catch up. I have changed most of the electrical including the stator, cdi, volt reg, spark coil, and a new plug.

I got it wet and it went dead no spark or anything. Thats why all the other electrical parts were changed. I have it back running but there is now a miss or or something that is causing a mid throttle skip/miss.

any suggestions?

Throttle cable / oil pump adjustment

Can anybody provide the proper procedure on for replacing the throttle cable on my kids 1995 polaris 300 2 stroke 4X4? I thought it would be the same as my snowmobiles but it's in a really difficult location and I can't make sense of the timing marks.

The machine is bone stock and ran ok but the throttle cable frayed so I'm replacing it for safety. I don't want it sticking at WOT or anywhere else for that matter.

Typical mikuni oil injectors for a snowmobile say to line up the two timing marks when the slide first starts to move inside the carb on throttle application. On this machine it doesn't seem to be anywhere near that.

Thanks for your advice.

2016 570 Outlander Max XT Value?

Hello all, I bought the Outlander after a battle with an illness back in September of 2016 as a gift to myself. I bought it knowing I still had a surgery in the future but assumed I'd be well enough shortly there after to enjoy the 4-wheeler. Short story is things didn't go that well and I had a couple more surgeries and the recovery times were much longer than I thought they would be. So the 4-wheeler didn't get much use at all. I'm currently in recovery and doing a little better but the woods behind my house where I ride was sold to a builder so I lost my only place to ride in town. I'm also not really strong enough yet to really get into the woods and ride so I think I'm going to sell it if it's still worth anything decent. I don't owe anything on it but i also don't want to take a bath either. I was wondering if you guys could give me your advice and input on what would be a good selling price for it?

It's still in brand new condition and always stored inside, it's got 22 hours and 39 miles. It's got the Can-Am Plow, the LinQ 32 Gallon Trunk Box, and I got a 5 year extended warranty. I live in Central Massachusetts. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Polaris sportsman 3500lb winch problem

My 2007 800X2 came with 3500lb stock winch, never really used it much till last week when I needed to pull some logs out of the water. On the last pull it quit pulling, it will pull the cable back in but if
you hold it, it will stop pulling. Motor runs ans freewheel lever seems to work, but just dosen't have any pulling power when knob is engaged & powered in. Hope this is the correct forum? Is there a
better one for winch problems?

pulled wires from fuel pump

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and really not sure how this works, but I need some help. I took my fuel tank off of my 06 bombardier outlander 650, and when I did, I pulled the wires out of the plug. I'm having trouble finding out which wires go where. I keep melting fuel talks also. Even after I wrapped the pipe. I've already bought two tanks. This time I'm gonna buy a heat shield material to hopefully fix the issue.
