renegade 570

I have been the owner of a new 2017 renegade 570 for 6 weeks now. It has 14 hours and 78 miles on it. i took it back to the dealership last thursday for a squealing sound in the cvt. I have followed the break in instructions to the t. The mechanic says that the one way bearing has wear and damage . The belt is glazed. The secondary clutch has some kind of damage and the inside of the cover is melted . I hasn't been lugged around and hasn't been ripped wide open. I have used high and low range. I have used 2 and 4 wheel drive and reverse. I made the mistake of riding in shorts and my high top red wing boots on the second ride. My right calf got so hot i had a red spot on it. Not a great start

Kings Hill & Yogo Peak, Montana

Hey guys! My buddy JT and I rode 65 miles in the Little Belt Mountains in Central Montana on Sunday. Yogo Peak is a little more than 8900' altitude. It was an awesome ride using our Forest Service map to follow trails up to the Peak and around the mountain range. Some flat dirt roads, some challenging sections with rocks driving in Low w/ 4x4. As always, I'm itching for the next ride.

Enjoy. If anyone ever comes to Montana, I'm always open to being a guide.

i am not new to atv , but am new to can am. i am 59 years old liv in ky and have a 2017 570 renegade

Looking for arguments for street use.

A few years back the state of Illinois passed a law for municipalitys the ability to allow atv/utv/golf carts on the street (speed limits 35 and under). I am looking for positive arguments to throw at the boards of Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates, IL to try to get them to implement this law. It will be an uphill battle, the village manager of HE told me I don't have the support of the police chief or himself. I still have to formally request that the board look into it. Any help would be appreciated. TIA, Bob.

2017 Canam 570 outlander – gear box issue !!!

Hi all,

I purchased a brand new Outlander 570 in Dec 16. I bought it primarily to plow my driveway and to do light trail riding literally to follow my little kids on their atvs. I did the first service this weekend. ATV has 30 miles and 15 Engine hours. When I drained the gear box oil I noticed metal shavings on the magnetic drain bolt. I proceeded to flush out the gear box with extra gear oil, reinserted the drain bolt to see if there was additional shavings only to find a larger piece (about the size a dime cut in half). One more flush with oil, reinserted the drain plug and all was clear/clean of debris.

This can't be common. I could understand a little sign of metal but a piece that size can't be good. It's my first time owning a Canam and the first time I purchased new. I've owned multiple Jap ATVs and bikes and they were always used. My warranty expired in May. Anyone encounter this issue? Any advice would be appreciated. I am brining it back to the dealer but I'm sure they are going to hit me with a crazy bill.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

’11 850XP Fan won’t run – here’s what I did so far

Hi All, Been a while since I visited. Haven't used my Wheeler much coz of some surgery but need it do to some spraying (I'm in Lawn Care business and have a spray rig for it - SLOW moving work - 4MPH)
Started it and after running a while it went into limp mode - fan not running and High temp light flashing.

Read a bunch of posts about it and did the following to Troubleshoot....

-Unplugged fan from harness and Put 12V directly to it - Nothing.
-Put a meter in the Harness side of the plug and let it idle for a LONG time - Finally got 14.3V out of the plug - took a while. So I guess the system is working and sending power to the fan.
-Used a screwdriver to try to spin the fan through the shroud. It is VERY hard to turn - kinda notchy - Is it supposed to spin freely? Or is there some kind of clutch in it?
- Shined a light on the blades and put power to it again hoping to see it jump a little - nothing - no movement at all

So.... Do I need a new fan? Is there any other Troubleshooting I should do before I buy a new one? Is it as hard as it looks to swap it out?

Thanks for any help - this place has always saved my A$$ when in trouble!!

Clutch Problem…..I Think

I have a 2016 Outlander 650xt. I noticed that when I put it in reverse without using the accelerator the quad wants to start rolling backwards. Do I have a problem here?
