I have a 2013 outlander 1000 with a 4" catvos lift and basic outlander xt shocks. All 4 shocks have a 2" puck lift. My question is, if I purchase the fox podium shocks that have preload adjustment, will I be able get away from the pucks and set my ride height with the preload on the fox shocks. Also input if this is a good idea or not. I ride mostly mud and slow speed trails. Thanks in advance.
2010 860xp NGK Spark plu gap……
Ive been doing preventative maintenance on my 2010 850xp, all fluids, grease fittings and replaced the spark plugs with NGK (6799) LZKAR7A , the factory gap is.035, do most of you guys stay with that gap or have you had better idling, running machines with a different gap setting?
2006 Outlander 650 Models
I bought a 2006 Outlander 650 XT Max about a week ago and am confused about some of the designators used.
From various places I've read, it seems that there's a
650
650 XT
650 MAX
650 XT MAX
I've kind of come to the conclusion that the XT is the winch and the MAX is the 2-up configuration.
If that's right, are there any other differences of note? I imagine these distinctions apply to other nearby years, 2007/08, etc?
Is the Max chassis/wheelbase any longer?
Thanks

Brake job
Looking for advice. Went to look at 2002 Explorer 400 and brakes didn’t work at all. I realize it could be a number of things but at worst case what could be top cost if needed to be replaced? Thanks
2012 renegade injectors
I'm thinking about changing my injectors in my 500 renegade 2012, and have a set of injectors from a 2011 xxc 800 laying around any know if it would be worth to replace them or should I go with the 800R green injectors? The 500 is bored to a 740 if anyone is wondering why I want to change them... thanks!!
2001 500 HO Sportsman Timing Chain Removal
I’m replacing the cam in my 2001 500 HO. Question, the timing chain doesn’t appear to have a master link. There are two links of a different shade of gray referenced in videos, but these do not lay at TDC when everything is at TDC. Nor are they master links. I’ve rotated it several times. Can’t find a master link. Do I need to split the chain? Or, it looks possible to remove the cam gear with the chain, once the tensioner is removed? TIA
Polaris Sportsman 400 HO 2012
Ok I got one for you mechanically astute people.
Put the atv away and it was running like a champ.
2 weeks later, turn the key, dead, and nothing lights up.
Charge battery, still nothing. 12.54 volts @ Rest.
Jump solenoid and she cranks. So starter and solenoid are good, but cluster still doesn’t light up.
Disassemble ignition and try to jump wires, nothing.
Ignition was new add on about year ago, so resliced with new tube connectors. Nothing.
So I got power to the starter, power past the solenoid to the starter. No power in the dash cluster.
Is it the ignition being it’s a newer one ? Is it the ECU unit brain where it tells the cluster to light up ? It can’t be the ignition bypass because it would at least lit up the cluster.
It’s a carberator unit not FI.
At a loss on what to test or replace now. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks ahead
