Clutch Sheave Crack
I had an interesting day today. I purchased a new 2015 left-over Polaris this year, which for an older man I really like. Took great pains to break it in properly as the book described. No hard usage so far, no mudding, no hill climbing, no plowing to speak of, etc. Presently has approx. 70 hours on it. The majority of my use will be plowing snow, so I invested in an EPI clutch kit for it. Took the machine to my dealer today to have the clutch kit installed, and when the mechanic took the primary off he noticed a very fine crack in the outer sheave. The crack runs just about all the way from center to outer rim of sheave and is completely through the sheave. Don't know if I would have spotted this if I was doing the kit install myself, but don't have the tools, so--. Looks to me as this could be a defective casting. Anyway dealer is submitting to Polaris for warranty repair. Will get a whole new primary as Polaris does not offer individual parts. This could have been disastrous if the sheave had blown apart while running. Anyway I learned some things about Polaris warranty claims, one being that when submitting for warranty work Polaris wants pictures of not only the defective part, but also the whole machine so they can see what shape it is in, i.e., how you take care of it. Looks to me like dealers do not have the call on warranty claims but that each one must be approved by Polaris before parts can be ordered and work can be done.
She’s woke!
Happened to look around on the internet on black Friday and found RVS Performance had a sale going on. Also found BigGun exhaust has released new exhausts for the 1k and they too were on sale. I happened to find an EPI clutch kit on sale early November so I ended up getting all 3.
I also ordered a severe duty belt at the same time as the clutch kit. Glad I did too. I'd been reading the stock belts weren't made for hard riding. When I took the clutches off, I found the stock belt had been melting on the clutch faces. Took some elbow grease, but I got them all cleaned off and everything installed.
I ordered the BigGun EvoU exhaust and the DynoJet tuner with the stage 2 tune from Ryan at RVS. I'm taking it easy for a while, trying to break the belt in, but I can already feel a major difference. This thing flat gets it! It was fast before, but now it's just a MONSTER!
Probably won't be able to get her out this month except to break in the belt, but I will race it on Jan 1st and report back after. So excited!!!!!

Can Am OEM Beadlocks from Maverick fit a Renegade?
Hi all!
Looking for some tech help. An acquaintance has a 2018 Can Am Maverick 1000R XXC. He removed the original tires and wheels as soon as he got home from the dealer last spring and just offered them to me for a very reasonable price. I want to know if they'll fit my 2018 Renegade 850 XXC.
The wheels look identical (they're both 12" diameter) but his came with bigger tires (27 x 9.00-12 front and 27 x 11.00-12 rear). So, do the Maverick beadlocks have the same bolt pattern and offsets as my Renegade wheels? Will these wheels with the larger tires fit on my bone-stock Renegade?
Thanks everyone!

2008 polaris 700 inner cv boot replacement
Hi all,
First I'd like to say what a wonderful forum this is and thank you to all those who contribute here.
I am in the process of changing the rear inner cv joint on the aforementioned atv. I've run into a bit of a snag however.
I am unable to remove the joint off the axle and as far as I can tell there are no snap rings on the housing nor axle.
Here are some pics for reference. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Jerky take off
I’ve got a 2017 sportsman xp 1000 copper edition, beautiful machine love it , only hang up is it turns 2950 to 3100 rpm before the belt locks in , once in there’s no issues but like a lot say it’s impossible not to spin and can be difficult to load up easy , is this normal or should I be afraid I have bought another persons problem?
Folding Trailer – any one had any experience with these?
I like the idea of a folding trailer as we don't have TONS of storage space.
Folding trailer T2000BW (5x8) 1980lbs GVW (Galvanized) - I.B.W Inflatable Boat Warehouse Inc.
I assume that it will fit my outlander max (when I get it). Width of the outlander (2016) I believe is 46" and this guy is 5 foot wide.
Any positive/negative feedback on these types of trailers?
Any recommended manufacturers?
I'm located in Alberta, Canada.
Thanks!
